  • May 2010
    • Unified Health Services participated in the 6th annual Urgent Care Association of America (UCAOA) meeting and the annual American Association of Orthopaedic Executives (AAOE) meeting. UCAOA exists to provide leadership, education, and resources for the successful practice of urgent care while AAOE is dedicated to providing education and resources to orthopaedic practice executives and staff members. Additionally, UHS sponsored the PFS Directors Conference for Adventist Health System based in Winter Park, Florida.

       

  • April 2010
    • The International Association of Industrial Accident Boards and Commissions (IAIABC) hosted a recent seminar to bring together state work comp regulatory authorities, payers, and clearinghouses who are building electronic work comp billing and payment systems. At this session, discussions centered on regulatory requirements and technical solutions to facilitate E-billing initiatives. UHS’ Don Kilgore, at the request of IAIABC, represented medical providers on a panel to discuss how work comp E-billing affects the typical medical provider.

    • Summit Medical Group has over 200 physicians in 50 office locations and 10 hospitals serving patients in 9 counties in the East Tennessee region. As SMG has grown it has found the need to automate and streamline work. To reach these goals with how its work comp claims are handled, SMG selected UHS as a partner. UHS solves problems with technology and expertise. Manual intervention and paper pushing are eliminated. Cash flow and collections improve.

    • All Texas based Adventist Health System hospitals now use Unified Health Services to manage their work comp revenue cycle. Metroplex Health System in Killeen and Rollins Brook Community Hospital in Lampasas are the latest AHS hospitals to implement UHS expertise and technologies to manage work comp claims from patient registration to cash application. Adventist Health System supports 37 hospitals comprising 6,600 plus licensed beds across the U.S.

       

    • Opening a new clinic is an excellent opportunity to establish best practices day one and when capital is tight the bottom-line is important. For these reasons, Tennessee Occupational Health, Inc. wanted UHS to manage its work comp claims at its newest location in Knoxville, TN. UHS technologies and knowledge drive lower processing and administrative costs as well as maximizing cash flow and collection rates for the clinic.

       

  • January 2010
    • Occupational Health East, a large provider of occupational health services to employers in east Tennessee has selected Unified Health Services to help it achieve its 2010 goals which include; automating manual processes, lowering costs associated with processing claims, improving collection rates on services delivered, and creating new tools to solidify relationships with area employers.
